A Million Dollar Mistake
My husband and I are on a long road trip. We pass through Albuquerque, where we used to live, and my husband says "Hey, I still have the key to our old place. I bet we could save some money if we spent the night at the old house. Let's just see if the key works." I don't think this is a good idea. We have two dogs with us. But the house is completely empty, and the key still works, so we go in. Our old neighborhood looks different. The houses that were across the street are now apartment buildings.
